Kayaks & Canoes

Moccasin - 15’6″ x 21.5″

The Moccasin was designed for use in rivers (including some mild whitewater) but it is at home in virtually any body of water.  The minimal draft (less than 4″ at 200lbs displacement) gives that extra bit of clearance that keeps you moving forward when the water is shallow, while the rockered stern provides greater maneuverability than one would expect.  The relatively narrow hull has been designed for greatest efficiency at typical paddling speeds, getting you to your destination with energy to spare.  The Moccasin starts at $1995.

Yellowjacket – 12′ x 23″

The Yellowjacket is the Moccasin’s smaller sibling.  Nimble and playful, it is in its element on smaller rivers, and is well-suited for class II+ whitewater.  Unlike most plastic river runners, the multi-chine hull is relatively narrow, giving the Yellowjacket greater speed on flat water that you might expect.  That speed comes at the expense of high stability – beginners may find it initially tender, although it can be quickly mastered with a bit of practice.  The Yellowjacket starts at $1895.

Hummingbird – 10′ 6″ x 27″

The Hummingbird is the latest model in development.  It is intended to be both a playful river runner and flat water cruiser, with enough capacity for carrying camping gear, child, or a pet.  Despite its diminutive size, the Hummingbird can keep up with most other kayaks and canoes, and can be propelled with a double-blade kayak paddle or single-blade canoe paddle, either seated or kneeling.  The Hummingbird is tentatively set to start at $1895.
